MGT 301 Principles Of Management

Pros

He clearly has a lot of knowledge about real-world business.

Cons

This course is 100% lecture. I am taking this as a night class, which means 3 hours of listening to the professor talk each week. There is almost no student interaction or discussion.I have been seriously disappointed with the delivery of this course. The lectures are not engaging and, quite frankly, extremely boring. The overheads used are about 50% supplied by the book publisher. Mr. Williams pretty much stands there and reads them to you with side stories about real life and his personal opinions. To be honest, it appears that little effort is put into making each class a dynamic learning environment. For example, when discussing teamwork, there is literally NO teamwork. Why not put people in groups to discuss a problem and present to the class? Nope, instead you listen to the professor TALK about teamwork for 3 hours. If you want a course that you can literally only come to on test days, this is your course. Just read the text, read the slides he posts online, and you should get at least a B.The only work in this class are the 3 tests. That's it. No homework, no essays, no presentations, nothing. Just 3 scantron tests. This is super easy if you can read. If you want a class where you can actually learn this content in a way that you can use in the real world, pick another professor.
