RHETOR 121B Rhetoric Of Fiction

N/A
Found Useful

Pros

She is very helpful, encouraging, and intelligent. She responds well to criticism, is willing to read over an outline if you go to office hours. In my experience with her it seems that she loves when students visit her in her office hours and if a student shows interests in a subject beyond the class she will provide that student with extra resources. She is fair on grading and also takes into account if you have improved over the semester and factors that into your final grade. She is the student advisor for the Rhetoric department and can offer good advice for Rhetoric majors or potential Rhetoric majors.

Cons

One issue that many students took with her is that she is unorganized. She assigns a lot of reading that we many times never got to. The syllabus was not accurate and there is a good possibility that you could walk into the class and not be sure on what she will lecture on. She is so smart sometimes that, when she gets excited about a topic, she start speaking in a very dense vernacular, at that point many of the students just look at each other wondering if they are the only ones that have no idea what she is saying.
