This course presents basic concepts, principles, and methods involved in the scientific study and understanding of human behavior. Attention is given to organic bases of human and other animal behavior with emphasis on perception, learning, motivation, maturation, physical and social adaptation, experimental techniques, individuality and personality, conflict and stress, adjustment and mental health, social behavior, and developmental processes. Required course for all psychology majors and minors. Credit will be granted for only one prefix: HON or PSY. (General Studies - Level II, Social Sciences)
