GOV 365N Comparative Legal Systems
Brownlee is amazing! Going in, I had no interest in Egypt OR an 8 am, but he made it great. 3 extremely simple tests if you know the basic point of the assigned readings, as well as weekly 1 page current event synopsises which can be done in 30 minutes. Doesnt use plus minus grading scale which was also nice. Overall, take his class!
GOV 365N Comparative Legal Systems
Brownlee is honestly a great guy. Definitely made my first semester (and first upper-level class) at UT not extremely hard. His tests for Egyptian Politics were ungodly easy. As long as you know the main points of the assigned readings and have a general knowledge of current events, you're fine. I took this class at 8 am and somehow stayed awake the whole time surprisingly too. I went in not knowing basically anything about Egypt and now I understand why the U.S. is so involved with Israel, etc.
