Awesome teacher. I had to take Chem over and I had Petrovich before him and she taught at the same pace for all subjects no matter if they were hard or easy, but anyways... Neyhart is awesome. I said that already but it's true. After a class with him I actually thought about changing my major to Chemistry. He doesn't have powerpoints you can print like some but you don't really need them because his notes are very good. He had lots of examples in the notes and questions u work in class to make sure you understand. The webassign were like 5-13 questions. I don't think any went passed that; they're short. I don't think any one webassign took me more than 30 to an hr to be on the safe side. He set it up so you had a few questions on one subject so once u finished the webassign u knew how to do that section. He's also very approachable. I didn't understand a question due on webassign so he helped me in his office even though he was eating.I never used the book except for the periodic table and maybe a few definitions here and there. And his SI instructor had practice worksheets for a study guide. (I had him in the summer so maybe it changes for spring and fall or depends on your SI instrutor). If your SI instructor doesn't do that just do all the Webassigns over. If you can do them, you're good for the test. Never got less than a B+. Just remember if it's a picture. Remember it.His attendance policy was just that if you have some better way to learn chemistry then by all means do that or sleep and don't attend his class. He gave stretch breaks like 5-10 minutes cause of the length of the summer class. I'd assume he'd do the same for other semesters, but probably not as long.
